WHAT I CAN´T TO DO WITH MUGEN ENGINE?

The mugen engine different than other engines for to RPG,Beat´em up or platform games,it´s stopped in the time.
now the its resources are considered limited for advanced players.



1 - ANIMATED PORTRAITS (SELECT OR VERSUS SCREEN)



the engine is not able to find the corresponding STAND OR IDLE sprites to make a fix anim for the portraits.

2 - SCORE



the mugen engine doesn´t support automatic score with parameters already established.

3 - RANKING SCREEN



the engine doesn´t keeps the score recorded in a fix screen.

4 - STORY LINE

there is not compatibility for a insertion of a script add story line into the middle of game or end.

5 - TAG TEAM WITH 3 OR 4 chars.



it´s not possible because the player 3 and player 4 are slaves of P1 and P2 the autonomy is damaged because it.

6 - PRESS START OR HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!!!



The engine doesn´t recognize the script for it.

7 - UNLOCK SECRET CHARS WITH CODES OR FINISHING THE GAME.

There is not codes for it or resources.

8 - SELECT COLORS OR GAME MODES IN THE SELECT SCREEN.

doesn´t exist these features to setup.

9 - FILTERS OF ENHANCEMENT.

The latest versions has not more these options or it´s possible add it like a patch.

i am pretty sure someone created tag mode someplace. and there was an add-on called story mode that did a few of the other things you mentioned.

-Well, about 3-vs-3 that's real. There EXISTS such MUGEN, replacing Simul's 2 players with three, and even 4 players. But believe me, this is not something you'll want to see. But if you WANT to see it, then here's the link.
-Animated ports cam be made with MUGEN's select cursors. But once again, this stuff loves to fire back. Especially when time comes for "Training" and "Watch" modes, where P2 uses P1's corsor.
-"Press Start" and Score can be simulated. They won't work ENTIRELY like in real Arcades, but stuff can be made, with "Press Start" as very long intro (Check Parse's "Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix" screenpack for example... Looks decent, but it's still love to end itself.) and score system can be created in characters themselves (Warusaki3' characters for that. Problem: score count lasts one fight, then with next figt it resets. Also no way to show it in screenpacks...).
-Storylines (Or, to be exactly, INTRO and ENDING of Char's arcade) is even more basic knowledge than intros for screenpacks. They made in very same way and listed in char's DEF.
-----If you takled about betweenchars dialogues, then f*ck... It's also old like mammoth's shit. But THIS is already work in chars.  For example just download Reu's Evil Ken and put him agains any normal Ryu. P.o.T.S.'s one is perfect here.
-Filters are also now available to MUGEN. Just ask some about SweetFX. But THIS is already not for every PC.
Everything else doesn't matter. Just relax and think about MUGEN's REAL problems...
