PostSubject: Marvel's Ghost Rider, Moon Knight and Blade coming to TV/Netflix?   May 19th 2016, 12:16 am

http://www.blastr.com/2016-5-18/rumor-day-blade-moon-knight-and-ghost-rider-tv-series-heading-netflix

from article wrote:
With two seasons of Daredevil and one of Jessica Jones under their belt, Luke Cage coming up in September, Iron Fist currently filming and a Punisher TV series in the works -- all pretty much leading to The Defenders (not sure about Punisher yet) -- you'd think Marvel and Netflix already have their dance card full. But it looks like things may get even more crowded with the possible addition of three new series.

According to Movie Creed Live, sources have told them that Blade, Ghost Rider and Moon Knight are poised to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their own Netflix series. (And if the petition proves successful and Marvel and Netflix listens, maybe we’ll even see Agent Carter find new life there. But that’s another story.) However with no real details, we’ll have to wait and see if any of this is true. So file this under rumor for now.

Of the three, Blade and Ghost Rider already had their shots on the big screen, with the Day Walker even finding new life on TV with a short-lived series (though sans Wesley Snipes). Moon Knight is still waiting in the shadows for a chance to shine on either the big or small screen, but if the rumor is true, that lack of live-action status is about to change.

A kind of Punisher/Daredevil/Batman type of character, Moon Knight (real name Marc Spector) was a mercenary who gained superhuman powers after being resurrected by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. His strength, endurance, and reflexes have the particularity of getting enhanced depending upon the phases of the moon. Basically, he's pretty damn cool, and with Doctor Strange heading to the big screen this November, exploring more of the mystical and magical side of Marvel on the small screen as well would be very exciting (we'll get a bit of that with Iron Fist).

All of them would definitely feel at home on Netflix. Being more "street level" characters, Moon Knight and Blade would totally blend in with the likes of Daredevil, Frank Castle and Elektra and rock the more mature, R-rated vibe Marvel goes for on the streaming service. As for Ghost Rider, he deserves his own series -- if only to wash away the stink of the last movie (the first one gets a pass because it was OK-ish).

Guess I will have to try to bypass geo restrictions and censorship in China in order to be able to enjoy some Netflix stuff like this...........
