 Color issue with MUGEN stages

PostSubject: Color issue with MUGEN stages   March 13th 2016, 1:07 pm

I've recently downloaded a bunch of MUGEN stages for my comic cover projects (yes, I'm still working on those), and a number of stages I've recently acquired have a weird issue with color when I open them in FF to get the sprites. They open with a palette that's nothing but red, green, or blue for everythung, and I don't know what to do about this. I get this with multiple versions of Fighter Factory. Is there something I need to do, or is it a problem with the stages themselves?

This is one example I've recently downloaded:



And here's how it looks in FF:



Any thoughts? Is there a better way to get these BG sprites?

Perhaps I can get it and try it with my Fighter Factory (I use FFClassic and FF3). study

Yes, my FFC and FF3 also have the same problem.

Cool advise!  But my eyes are really bad with colors so may leave it to NightDevil123...

@NightDevil123:
You can disable all players and all bars on-the-fly in MUGEN:
Ctrl-L    Toggles display of the life and power bars
Ctrl-Alt-# (where # is from 1-4) Enables/Disables the player
This way you can make the MUGEN stage show up and then you can use F12 to take MUGEN screen shots......

I hate to resurrect a dead thread, but this is an issue I'm still having a problem with. I've found some great potential stages to use for my sprite comic covers, only to find them unusable due to only being able to see them in red, blue, or green only. Is there a way to reverse this process using either Fighter Factory or an image-editing program like GIMP? Everything I've found via Google is about how to do the RGB method in the first place, not how to reverse it.
