thankx for the update borewood. gotta know though, what did you do regarding improve AI? i ask because as you know, i hoped he'd be at a particular strength level. kind of hoping you deactivated the stun punch special? noticed it can be kind of cheap for AI

Well, GorilaGrodd previously seemed not to try to block/guard P2's crouching normal attacks so effectively....
In this update I tried to make him block/guard more hopefully...

I also toned down things everywhere, yet I didn't change his stun punch special much besides lowering its damage and making the move frames time a bit longer.

I didn't know you want to disable the stun effect though........this way I will have to re-do another update.

thanks great update the skull is a good change
now my main complaint is the hyper portrait, he needs a better one

and why does he have telekinetic powers?
i never saw this before but i could be wrong

Oh this update of mine is meant to tone him down.........perhaps I haven't down enough toning down? Rolling Eyes

The "telekinetic powers" move has been added to at the beginning of this release on May 22nd 2015. Wink

Now I am waiting for volzzilla's advise about how to further update Grodd......... Arrow

And anyone who is interested can also continue to give me some MUGEN idea(s) for Grodd, like:

"I need some input for a "Bicho" aka "pterodactyl aka dinosaur bird calling helper attack" hyper improvement..."

this update is splendid,
now, i would suggest better intros, fx, hyper background and portait
from what i understand, the main problem is that your spriter: cravd left mugen?

Finally, a Grodd MUGEN WIP update report (sorry no download yet......but there is a showcase YouTube video for your viewing pleasure)!



2015-12-14 update:
- used Franken-spriting way to add the missing turn sprites for both standing and crouching
- the crown and jewel during Grodd's in-game intros can now fade out instead of sudden disappearance
- removed the pterodactyl aka dinosaur bird riding in in-game intro
- turned the pterodactyl aka dinosaur bird riding in in-game intro into a new hyper move in which Grodd calls the big bird out
  and rides on it and commands it to spit fire (you can control the big bird and press buttons a/b/c to spit fire)
  * to make this new hyper balanced, enemey may stop Grodd when Grodd is trying to hop on the big bird, once after Grodd
    is riding the big bird, Grodd is invincible the whole new hyper move, until the move ends
- removed the D,DB,B punch stun-enemy ability; it now only happens during the move's initial auto-guard
- added a new secret hyper move in which Grodd is able to turn enemy into something really interesting....
  .....(pending volzzilla's help and verification....)
- some more fixes and A.I. tweaks doing and coming...........
