What are the benefits of resolution = 420,240 ??

This resolution was created after a time researching about the resolution sizes used on the platforms psp1000,mame,capcom cps123,neogeo and 32 bits system.
my curiosity took me to find out the reason the chars doesn´t were stretched by the expanded screen in fake widescreen,like that the fabulous localcood 420,240
becomes it reality without frustrations.


1 - the your low-res chars and stages won´t look more pixelated.
2 - you will gain a expanded area to fight without use the zoom of stage setup.
3 - the conversion of chars and stages are very simple with the localcoord = 420,240
4 - your chars and stages won´t suffer distortion of size or image quality.
5 - the filter is not a blur or bilinear,it´s the same process used at PSP1000,MAME ARCADE and CPS123 board or neogeo system.
6 - you can to use images in png without convert to 256 colors for bmp.
7 - the aspect will valorize your sprites with a shining and smoothed looking for sprites.
8 - the creation process is faster and no complication for beginners.
9 - this resolution imitates a fake widescreen,like that you will have all the pc screen fulfilled. (no black bars)
10 - your stages will have a total panorama. it being possible to see more parts of stage.
11 - it´s the end of suffering with pixelated sprites and twisted screen.
12 - if you used stuff with low quality,it won´t look so evident with the filter.

with this resolution you can to see the shine and smoothed border at pixel sprites in magneto and dr.doom,a low-res sprite needs this config to look pretty and pleasant to the sight.

Very cool MUGEN presentation!

And what about those non-Capcom character sprites that have natively big image dimensions (i.e. 800x600 or 1028x786) please? Question   I want to know how.............

I am working on a new screenpack with this resolution,but you get to find a older version of 2 sp here in mugenmultiverse.

in common low-res stages you just need to add the localcoord at the [stage] line. like that:

[StageInfo]
zoffset = 223 = height where the fighters will appear for to fight...
localcoord = 420,240 = here is the magic.
autoturn = 1
resetBG = 1

after that you must to decrease or increase the coordinates until the border looks right.

boundleft = -100
boundright = 100

Yes, you must add the localcoord = 420,240 in the *def of the char, its that the reason why UNKNOWN SOLDIER looks small in common mugen screenpacks; because its original configurated for match in the Mazemerald New style screenpacks.

sí! los chars también llevan el localcoord = 420,240,así los sprites no sean extendidos.
cualquier duda es solo preguntarme que te digo amigo...
