MUGEN CHAR FIGHTING SYSTEM CATEGORY

In the mugen world there are some categories for fighting styles.

for example: MVC STYLE / CVS STYLE / KOF STYLE / OLDSCHOOL STYLE / BETA STYLE / CHIBI STYLE / HD STYLE / 3D STYLE and NON DEFINED STYLE.

It´s reasonable to have a differente screenpack for each style you have into your collection.
like that the game keeps balanced and one fair fighting happens.

you must to identify all your char´s style and add into the right screenpack for a good game.

the handicap between each other fighter will be lesser and considerably suitable.

tips:

1 - You should always use high jump chars on high jump stages like happens at MVC Series.

2 - use the chars with the same graphical standard to make it looks prettier and clean.

3 - search for good lifebars,it will be give a special touch to the stage.

4 - the fake widescreen can be very pleasant

5 - if you gonna do a fullgame, my advice is you must to use a few characters to facilitate the pattern.

Very interesting MUGEN character system categories!

Now please allow me to give my version geek :
1. allow only to do short yet damaging combos (i.e. Street Fighter)
2. allow to do long yet not-so-damaging combos (i.e. Killer Instinct)
3. to win, doesn't need much combo at all (i.e. Smash Bros.)
4. cross-over/mixed type with assists/helpers (i.e. Marvel vs Capcom)
5. cross-over/mixed type without assists/helpers (i.e. Capcom vs SNK / SNK vs Capcom)
6. "ammo" type => many different bars/gauges to fill up in order to be able to use some certain moves (i.e. Big Bang Beat / Melty Blood)
7. "escape" type => being able to get out of hard times given by enemies/opponents (i.e. Guilty Gear)
8. unknown/custom (i.e. many original characters)

And I am a traditional fighting gamer, so my best is the "1. allow only to do short yet damaging combos" type.... yes
